A typeface drawn with LINE and CIRCLE. Each lower-case letter in MEGAFONT.BAS is a handful of strokes on a small grid, captured with GET so a program could stamp it onto the screen. The alphabet lived in the code as drawing instructions rather than as a bitmap, which meant the same letters could be drawn at any size and in any colour.
Reading the demonstration
The same letter shapes are drawn at several sizes and colors. This recording uses a new driver to read the original stroke definitions.
About this recording and recovery
The recording puts the face to work: the alphabet at four sizes, white windows on a grey desk in the manner of MegaView, black on a printed page, and colour on colour. The program doing the drawing is new and reads the strokes out of the 1994 file as data. The letters are the ones drawn then.
